Biography

Born & raised in Miami, Florida, Lindsay began her music education from her sister who began teaching her Piano and Music Theory at age 5. Along with a wonderful Elementary Music educator, her sister continued to help her through her Elementary music years that included Percussion instruments, Recorder, Xylophone Bells, and Choir. Lindsay received her first Superior evaluation in 5th grade for playing the Overture to the Magic Flute on the Recorder and she also played the Piano for her 5th grade graduation. Lindsay also began singing and playing the Hand Bells in the St. Agatha Church Choir at 10 as well as private Piano lessons.

 

Through Middle school, she played 1st chair Clarinet in Symphonic Band and Violin in Orchestra and received Superior ratings in all solo evaluations and competitions. Freshman year of High school she was in Drumline and played Percussion in Marching Band. From Sophomore year on, Lindsay focused on her voice and joined the school Vocal Ensemble where she received Superior ratings in all solo evaluations and competitions throughout Florida. She was the Vice-President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and had the opportunity to be a soloist at Disney. Lindsay also became the cantor for her Church and began her professional career at 14 when she sang her first wedding.

 

Lindsay holds an Associate of Arts in Music and a Bachelor’s of Voice in Opera Performance. Since 2005, she began teaching music both privately and in a conservatory with students as young as 3 and sustained a studio of 30 students studying piano, voice, and music fundamentals. Lindsay has also been an adjunct instructor in schools and an elementary music teacher.

 

Before relocating to Plymouth, Massachusetts, she studied voice with Manny Perez and spent time as a Church Director of Music Ministry. As a Coloratura Soprano, her roles have ranged from Operas to Broadways and has always included being a choir member, cantor, and event singer in parishes throughout the Archdiocese.

While she enjoys a performing career, Lindsay also loves sharing her knowledge and experience with others in a small private studio. She is a proud sister of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity and represents the alumnae chapter as an active member in the arts. When not engaged in music, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her husband & little boy.
